Food processing, engineering and tourism are the main industries in Moray. The two Royal Air Force (RAF) bases account for 21% of the area’s employment and generate £156m per year, with £76m of that being spent locally.
The whisky distilling industry is big business and the area’s distilleries include Glenfiddich, The Macallan and Glenlivet.
2004 marked the opening of Horizon Scotland, the new incubation centre for innovative and dynamic businesses located at the Enterprise Park, Forres. Horizon Scotland is a groundbreaking project backed up with comprehensive support services.
