Business

There has been an economic transformation in Clackmannanshire in recent years following the decline of the traditional mining, brewing and textiles industries. The area has responded to these challenges and created new jobs and businesses.

Clackmannanshire is sustaining a level of self-employment 40% above the national average and it has a growing number of small businesses. Much of the infrastructure supporting this change has been financed in part by the European Union.

Employment has increased 16% since 1995. The area offers low cost rents, comprehensive business support initiatives, good quality housing and a skilled local workforce all in a central Scotland location. There are three business parks in the area ideally situated and well equipped to accommodate the requirements of companies wishing to locate in the area.

The four cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Stirling are within easy reach by car, rail and bus.
