Business

The region's history has been dominated by industry but the days of shipbuilding, marine engineering, glass making and the printing and dyeing of textiles have all gone.

Today, light engineering, whisky distilling and related trades, tourism and hospitality, defence, drinks manufacturing, electronics and non-retail service sector businesses are flourishing in the area.

There are many business parks including Arcadia Business Centre and Clydebank Business Park:

Loch Lomond Shores, the new visitor destination, is now making a major contribution to the Dunbartonshire economy and is the most high profile development in the area.
