About West Lothian

About West Lothian

West Lothian is located between Edinburgh and Glasgow and is famous as the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. Nowadays it is the youngest and fastest growing part of Scotland, with 25% of people in the area under the age of 18.

Property prices in West Lothian are around 30% lower than in Scotland’s capital so it’s not surprising that nearly 18,500 people choose to live in West Lothian and commute to Edinburgh every day.

It’s not all one-way traffic however, as nearly 6,000 people commute daily from Edinburgh to West Lothian.

It’s also the ideal place to locate a business, with 60% of the country’s population within a 60-minute radius and excellent transport links throughout the area.
