Glasgow was voted European Capital of Sport in 2003, hosted the UEFA Champions League Final in the same year and in 2005 launched its bid to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

What’s more, Glasgow is home to two of Scotland’s most famous football teams, Celtic and Rangers, as well as the country’s national sports stadium at Hampden Park.
