About South East Scotland
South East Scotland includes East Lothian, Midlothian and the Scottish Borders. It reaches from south of the city of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth down to the Border with England in the east.
The population of the area is about 277,793 people.
The countryside of South East Scotland has a unique character that changes with each region. With un-spoilt countryside, historic castles and lots of busy towns and villages, it is hard to resist the appeal of this area.
