As part of SQA's commitment to the labour market in Scotland, and to ensuring that qualifications contribute to the the skills of the workforce, SQA recently undertook a piece of research into qualifications from Poland.
This was in response to a growing demand from employers for a tool that would provide a basic understanding of the the typical qualifications being presented by the large number of Polish nationals seeking employment in Scotland. Below you will find a link to a table on the SQA's website, which contains key features of the different kinds of secondary schools and related qualifications for post 16-year-olds, alongside a broad comparison with Scottish qualifications of a similar kind and similar level.
This information is based on official comparability statements provided by NARIC (the National Academic Recognition Information Centre).
NB: These comparisons are NOT direct equivalences.
