Projects that will help international students to stay on to live and work in Scotland will be invited to submit applications for funding in 2009 . Details will be announced nearer the time.
Background
International students are a key target of the Scottish Government's Fresh Talent policy, which aims to attract and retain bright, motivated and hard-working people to live, work and study in Scotland to support economic growth.

In August 2008 a further investment of £232,761 was granted to support international students wishing to remain and work in Scotland following completition of their studies.
Since 2005 over 8.200 international graduates have chosen to stay in Scotland to work after their graduation.
The funding is being made available to universities and colleges in Scotland to support projects in the 2008-2009 academic year.
During the acaedemic year 2008-2009, 16 projects will run, giving students support to remain in Scotland and integrate into Scottish life.
Details of how to apply for funding for 2009/2010 will be announced in 2009.
