Ajax moved to Scotland in 2003 to undertake studies at Aberdeen University.
"I came to Scotland to do my MSc. I enjoyed my stay during the course and made lots of friends here. I liked Scotland because of its non-polluted environment, relaxed lifestyle and lovely people."
On completion of his MSc in Safety Engineering and thanks to his Fresh Talent visa, Ajax found work immediately on completion of the course as a Safety Consultant with an Engineering Consultancy based in Aberdeen.
"My career has since progressed and within a year I secured a job as Associate Engineer with PSN (one of the leading Engineering contractors in Aberdeen). On joining PSN, the company readily applied for a work permit. My skills being recognised by this prestigious company who promoted me to a Technical Safety Engineer position within one year of joining PSN.
"There are plenty of job opportunities in Scotland."
In his spare time Ajax loves travelling and admires the scenery and serenity of places like Fort William and the picturesque Isle of Skye.
"My passion for volleyball keeps me fit. I am a member of Beacon Volley Ball team in Aberdeen and a member of PSN’s badminton team.
"My wife, Kathy joined me in Scotland in 2005 and after completion of her MSc in HR Management at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, now works for a Marine Consultancy as a Logistics Coordinator. Together we are looking forward to our future here.
"We really enjoy being here and hope to stay longer in Scotland."
