The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Fiona Hyslop visited China from 5-12 April.
In Beijing, she met with China's Vice Minister of Education, Wu Qidi, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU establishes a formal strategic Sino-Scottish collaboration across a number of different areas, including new Sino-Scottish PhD scholarships.
