As well as reading the information contained on this website, you
should also contact individual Higher Education Institutions for
details about their own funding and scholarships.
A number of scholarships are available primarily for postgraduate students.
However in some special circumstances applications for
undergraduate study may be considered under the Commonwealth
Scholarships and Fellowship Plan and DFID Shared Scholarship Scheme.
You can search a list of scholarships on the British Council scholarship database: www.educationuk.org/scholarships
If you can obtain guaranteed part-time work at a publicly funded
institution of further or higher education, the earnings from this can
be taken into account by the entry clearance officer when considering
if you have sufficient funds.
You should contact your university/college to find out if they
have any such work or if they can suggest where you may look for it.

If you know any private individual who is prepared to sponsor you, this is acceptable.
When applying for entry clearance, you must be able to produce a
letter from the sponsor confirming his/her willingness and ability to
support you.
It can be helpful if they state why they are willing to sponsor you.
This must be supported by evidence of your sponsor’s financial
resources covering at least three months prior to your application
being made; this can include original bank statements, payslips, and
evidence of assets.
