Suspension and changes to Student visas

From 1 February 2010 the following Entry Clearance posts will not be accepting any new applications under Tier 4 student visas, this is due to an increase in student applications and routine monitoring.

• North India - New Delhi, Jalandhar and Chandigarh
• Bangladesh - Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong
• Nepal – Kathmandu

Changes from the 22 February 2010

Any student who applies by post or public enquiry office for a student visa under Tier 4 must possess a Confirmation of Acceptance for studies from their sponsor, a visa letter will not be acceptable from that date. The Confirmation of Acceptance letter must be dated no earlier than the 22 February 2010.
