There are a number of managed migration routes available when considering employing an international worker. To view these please select a Tier or scheme from the tabs on the left hand side.
From 19 July 2010 an interim limit will be introduced on Tier 1 General applications in any one month. Applications will be dealt with on a first-come, first served basis. If an applicant applies after the limit for one month has been reached, the application will be held and considered under the limit for the following month.
Applicants who are already in the UK under Tier 1 General and are looking for an extension will be excluded from the limit. Applicants who are already in the UK under another immigration category and are looking to switch into Tier 1 General will also be excluded from the limit.
The pass mark for points will also increase to 100 (from 95). This will not affect those who are looking to extend their Tier 1 General visa.
