Securing aerospace clients for his high flying consultancy has turned Fred Gorrie into a seasoned traveller.

Eastern Europe is his latest destination but this time his journey represents a search to recruit experienced engineers for his aerospace support business, Inter-Tec Services.
Inter-Tec's managing director explained his priority was to harness more of the same specialist skills which had driven the steady growth of the business.
"Talented, experienced engineers are in short supply; so, we're always keen to pursue new opportunities as they become available," said Fred, who has been working with a personal contact in Romania to identify suitable applicants.
"It won't be the first time we will have employed foreign nationals: two are currently working with us but were already resident in Scotland and known to us in the first instance."
Inter-Tec Services has a workforce of 12, mostly qualified engineers who specialise in stress analysis work on airframe parts.
"Now is the right time to take on more staff so that we can take advantage of the attractive opportunities to market our services," said Fred, who was the firm's only employee at the outset in 1992.
"Ayrshire is an ideal location for the business given the area's proud tradition for aerospace design, manufacture and related services.
"Clients have been very supportive of our plans to source new staff from abroad. Meanwhile, we are also seeking to recruit graduates in Scotland.
"It's vital that people who work for us are adaptable and can apply their skills to a variety of different jobs given that the company is still relatively small."
If his overseas search proves successful, Fred plans to take up support which is available from the Scottish Executive to help smooth recruitment from abroad.
